Penn alum crashes your party on "30 Rock"

One of our favorite singer-song writer's music was recently featured on NBC's "30 Rock"!

After the jump check out Carly Greenberg's (C'05) song "CRASH YOUR PARTY" from the latest episode.

The song was featured in the celeb-packed parody trailer of "Martin Luther King Day - The Movie!" (parodied after THIS Penn alum's films).

Push Time: This Hollywood doctor's cameo on "Parenthood"

Over the past couple of years, Dr. Zach Lutsky (C'97) appeared on the Dr. Oz show, and was the medical consultant for "Miami Medical" and "ER".

Last week, what started out as a behind-the-scenes TV medical consultant role turned into a small acting cameo for Zach in a scene with Erika Christensen on NBC's season finale of "Parenthood".

After the jump, watch the clip and find out about Zach's "surreal" experience.

Like this: Penn Alum sets up Social Network-inspired comedy at NBC

A couple years back I did a post on Sonny Lee (C'03, Penn Six, Full Measure, Penn Admissions) on how his entertainment job sucked and how he then took matters into his own hands which jump started his Hollywood writing career. (a very inspirational read)

Well it's certainly been getting sunnier for Sonny.

More about the big writing deal he made this year and his new TV pilot!

How dirty will CBS let her get with "Sex and the City" showrunner?

Over the years, I have featured Whitney Cummings (C'03) on DT about her Comedy Central special and the various roasts she's been a part of. Her humor is downright dirty and I love it.

Now she is doing a bunch of notable "A"-list TV projects you should look out for in the coming year.

"Keep up the DAMN good work. It's not until I'm about to graduate that I really start to appreciate other Penn alums who try to keep the network going with websites like Dueling Tampons and more. Keep it up!"
-Mike Tate (C'10)

"As an outsider to the entertainment industry and to LA, DuelingTampons.com gave me an excellent jumping-off point to start my job search. It enabled me to learn about Penn alums in the entertainment industry and conduct necessary preliminary research. From there I was able to reach out to our incredible alumni network, schedule introductory meetings and phone calls, eventually land an interview, and finally secure an internship at a top Hollywood studio."
