Earlier this week I reported that Elizabeth Banks (C'96) is appearing in a hysterical new trailer for her upcoming film where she is casting "actors" for a Porn film.
Now, news that she is appearing in the July 2008 issue of Esquire magazine!
If you recall from my previous posts, she's already appeared in GQ, Vanity Fair, Entertainment Weekly and People Magazine!

DT Favorite filmmaker Matt Johnson (C'99, Mask and Wig, Phi Kappa Sigma) was fed up with the long primary and did something about it. ...He created a funny parody based on the I am Legend trailer!

Marc Platt (C'79, Glee Club) will be co-producing a live action movie to author Jason Carter Eaton's children's book The Facttracker.
Per a great review for the book on goodreads.com:
"The Facttracker works in the Factory finding facts which the people of Traakerfaxx then supply to the world. When the just small enough boy, who tragically has no personal facts, is accidentally involved in blowing up the Factory, the Facttracker’s sinister brother Ersatz steps in, sets up a Liebrary, imprisons the Facttracker and convinces the people of Traakerfaxx that selling lies is much more fun and lucrative than selling facts. Can the just small enough boy set things right before the whole world is filled with nothing but lies? Recently I reported that film producer Todd Lieberman's (C'95, AEPi, Mask & Wig) will be producing a new guidance counselor film for Disney, has what promises to be a great kid movie coming out soon and is currently in Boston shooting 2 back to back films with some big stars.
Now Todd will be producing a new film for Touchstone called Wedding Banned.
Per Variety, the plot is as follows:
"A long-divorced couple kidnap their daughter on her wedding day to keep her from making the mistake of her life. The divorced parents rekindle their relationship as they elude cops and the angry groom."
