He's shown us scantily-clad women spewing corn.
He's warned us about the perils of answering "Coke" in a Pepsi Challenge.
He's delved into the world of a man who cheats on his wife with a vacuum.
And now DT favorite Matt Johnson (C'99, Mask and Wig, Phi Kappa Sigma) wants you to be careful about who you hire for your buddy's bachelor party.

There's something just wrong about what you're about to see...and I say that in a good way!

Hey Day came and went and now the undergrads are studying for finals and are faced with all sorts of entertaining distractions ...like this post.
I saw this humorous Penn student claymation film about a kid who is trying to study but gets distracted by ...a squirrel.

The other day I wrote a post about a big sci-fi film that will be shot on Penn's campus this summer.
An alum by the name of "Dara" then made the following comment and mentioned:
"I remember when Tom Hanks and Denzel Washington shot the library scene of "Philadelphia" at Furness. I walked to the library with a friend very early one morning to try to catch the stars, but no such luck!"I too (Matt Rosler, C'96) was actually on campus for the filming of Philadelphia during early January 1993 for Mask and Wig's Spring Show rehearsals. I managed to sneak in while they were filming and got into a bit of trouble...

Okay I literally just hit publish on my Liz Banks (C'96) article that she's been named People magazine's "100 Most Beautiful" for 2008 and now just got word that she's on this week's Entertainment Weekly Cover for her upcoming role as Laura Bush in the George Bush "W" film by Oliver Stone.
It's pretty cool seeing her on the cover and I will say she does look like Laura Bush...

She made the Vanity Fair magazine cover, was featured in a steamy GQ photo spread and now Liz Banks (C'96) has been named People magazine’s “100 Most Beautiful” for 2008! In the magazine, she poses with no make-up, and still looks great!

Did you see Good Morning America's Entertainment correspondent Taryn Winter Brill (C'00) battle it out with The Chronicles of Narnia: Prince Caspian's Ben Barnes the other day? She seemed to be pretty into it!
Watch it here!

Last week I covered Jim Goldblum (C'07, 34th Street)'s story about his virtual Katrina Yearbook which CNN said, of all the press coverage and all the documentaries, it was "one of the best of the best."
If that wasn't cool enough, the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting had since commissioned Jim's Yearbook 2006 team (Jim, his brother, and his staff photographer) to create a new interactive website called "Hope: Living and Loving with HIV in Jamaica."
Per Jim,
"The interactive follows poet Kwame Dawes as he returns to his country of Jamaica to meet and write about the people on the island living with HIV/AIDS. On the site you can read the poems and then see documentary photos, videos, and music, which allow you to meet the people who inspired Kwame's beautiful words. The site has gotten great press in The Atlantic, Virginia Quarterly, Huffington Post, and Trendhunter."
Promo:
Jim's documentary style reminds me of some of Loren Mendell's (C'95) documentary work.

Classes at Penn are over and what better way to celebrate than to dance!
Recently some Penn students performed a nicely choreographed dance to OK Go (A Million Ways).
Watch Penn students get their groove on
I couldn't help but be reminded of Trish Sie's (C'94) hugely popular choreographed video to OK Go's Here We Go Again. ...Yes, if you didn't know, this viral video was choreographed, directed and produced by a Penn alum and was featured in Los Angeles' Pennfest 2007.

Recently I've reported on a new sci-fi robot movie which will be shot on Penn's campus this summer.
Speaking of sci-fi robots, remember the self-healing T-100 robot from the Terminator 2 movie? Well, Penn scientists have recently created a robot which can reassemble itself after it has been kicked apart!
Check out how cool this is

Apparently Shia LeBouf is going to be filming Transformers 2 in Penn's Castle Fraternity (see above) for a scene. Apparently shooting starts in June.
