Penn alum's fantastically strange fetish for Telly Savalas

We first met Tom DiMenna (C'02) for this Valentine's Day love week where he sang "the red and blue" as Telly Savalas to all my DT readers.

Tom has continued milking his Telly character with a new "Telly Tips" episode he recently posted, as well as another Telly video which just landed him on the "Funny or Die" homepage yesterday.

You've never seen a DT Valentine's Day dedication like this before

Valentine's Day and UPenn and Kojak and Telly Savalas

Over the past 4 years, I've dedicated this week to my Valentine's Day themed series, loaded with lots of Penn alumni and undergrad related stories all having some sort of love themed hook.

Well, to kick off our series this year, I have a very "surreal", as our alum puts it, treat for you.

Superbowl Fever: These Penn Alumni go "Old School" (VIDEO)

Because this weekend is the Superbowl, I thought you'd all appreciate a viral video created by the Penn alum who created a musical interpretation of The Godfather, Tom Dimenna (C'02, Quarterback for Varsity Football Team).

In Tom's film THE PURISTS, two football coaches speak out about what is truly, "Old School".

The video stars Tom as Walter "Gibbs" Branigan and and fellow Penn alum Jeff Hatch (C'01) as Kyle Rogers, a third round draft pick out of Penn State.

His Musical Interpretation of The Godfather (VIDEO)

As part of our Games and Movies series, I've got an entertaining musical interpretation of a classic film for you.

Tom DiMenna (C' 02, Quarterback for Varsity Football Team, Music Reporter for XPN Radio) has turned "The Godfather" into a musical! Written and performed by Tom, "Ode to Fredo" (video below) dares to imagine the last minutes of Fredo Corleone's life...
