Here's the scoop on some exciting news from 2 of our alumni:

Paul Provenza (C'79, Mask and Wig) has a new Showtime half-hour comedy series coming to Showtime, called "Behind the Green Room Door". If you recall, Paul directed and produced "The Aristocrats".

Per the Hollywood Reporter, "The six episodes, with host comedian Paul Provenza, will allow viewers inside the "safe" inner sanctum of a green room where legendary comedians will meet and personally talk with one another. The comedian guest list includes Jonathan Winters, Eddie Izzard, Roseanne Barr, Drew Carey, Robert Klein, Penn Jillette, Martin Mull, Tommy Smothers, Bob Saget, Sandra Bernhard, Andy Dick, Rain Pryor, Rick Overton, Paul Mooney, Bobby Slayton, Jim Jefferies, Patrice O'Neal, Andy Kindler, Dana Gould, Brendon Burns, Larry Miller and Reginald D. Hunter in addition to emerging new talent."

Mark Sanchez and David ClowneyAttention sports fans!

In her ongoing "Girls Guide to Fantasy Football" series, this week, Jordan Zucker (C'97, Kappa Alpha Theta, captain of UPenn Equestrian team, Stimulus Children's Theater) was able to catch the New York Jets QB Mark Sanchez and Wide Receiver David Clowney for a few quick, up close and personal questions ...including locker room secrets for the ladies!

This took place at Jersey Lanes where Clowney was hosting a bowling benefit for The Clowney Foundation.

After her appearances on "Scrubs" and Bobby Flay's "Grill It" show, Jordan is clearly comfortable on camera!

Did you catch Adam Tsekhman (W'02, Teatron) on last Thursday night's hot new ABC show "FlashForward"?

In the clip above he played "Vlad Petrov", a drug dealing Russian thug. (and this isn't the first time a Penn alum played a Russian thug on an ABC show!)

This is getting funny. There definitely seems to be an affinity for Penn alumni on the ABC network!

After the jump below, check out:
  • how Adam got his start as an actor at Penn
  • a series regular role he had
  • what film he just finished shooting!
  • Adam's reel (find out which soap he was featured on!)

Austin Music Scene
Back in August, we started a new exclusive DT monthly Vlog series documenting the life of 2 Penn graduates who are embarking on a music career, so that others can learn from their experiences.

This month Ben Naecker (C'09, Water Polo) and Blake West (W'09, Jazz Combos) talk about:
  • what they're doing now to make money in month two living in Austin ...and whether a "real" job is slowly becoming their forte?
  • their pursuit to find a particular type of band member who seems to be the hardest to find in Austin
  • advice about picking bandmates and warnings about people who "talk a big game"
Watch Episode 3: "Know Thy Bandmates"!
