This week, I've got tidbits about Penn "entertainment" alumni on TV, stage ...and on Penn's campus!
Meet these film producers at Homecoming (Saturday, 2-5 pm)!:
- Todd Lieberman (C'95, Mask and Wig, AEPi) and Max Handelman (C'95, AEPi) will be screening their film Surrogates and answering your questions in a panel after the film!
- ...And don't forget about author Grant Gilder (C'05) appearing at the bookstore tomorrow! (read my post from this morning)
Other Surrogates co-producer Elizabeth Banks (C'96) will not be joining Todd and Max because she will be appearing tonight on "The Jay Leno Show"
Also watch out for her appearance on "Modern Family" on Wednesday 11/18 where she will be featured as a longtime friend of new parents Cam and Mitchell.
Aaron Karo (W'01) will be performing his all new stand up event "I'm Having More Fun Than You". at the Hollywood Improv on Saturday, November 7th – Two Shows: 7:30pm and 9:30pm.
Tickets HERE. (For $10 off tickets to the 7:30pm show, simply enter promotion code KARO when you buy tickets online.)
Aaron's show is inspired by his latest book, I’m Having More Fun Than You – a hilarious exploration of bachelor life from the alcohol-fueled pursuit of chicks in bars to sophisticated advances on defenseless bridesmaids.
Aaron will also be sharing the stage with fellow Penn grad and comic Matt Rittberg (L'05). Matt's comedy stylings have a similar "chick" theme to Aaron's. ....If you remember, Matt's "the guy you meet at 4 am"!
And finally, although our Phillies lost the World Series this week, check out the coverage that Penn's Glee Club got from 6abc Action news:
