You need to listen to a song this Penn group is awesomely covering

UPenn and Off the Beat and Coldplay and Fix You

Since my freshman year at Penn in 1992, I've been a consistent fan of the work the Penn a capella group Off the Beat puts out. (and some of its alumni too)

After the jump listen to their great version of Coldplay's "Fix You" I just recently stumbled upon.

More Penn alumni who love singing Adele songs

As you've seen on DT, I've covered lots of alumni who like singing covers of songs.

A particular favorite from lots of Penn alumni over the past year has been doing Adele covers.

After the jump, listen to two alumni covering Adele's "Someone Like You" (and they're really good!)

UPenn and Jill Goldberg and Britney Spears and Perez Hilton

Jill Goldberg (C'04, Dischord A Cappella, Penn Choir, Wind Ensemble) covered a Lady Gaga song before for us and today I wanted to share her new cover of Britney Spears' summer anthem, "I Wanna Go".

After the jump, listen to Jill's great re-interpretation!

Their Facebook Pop Song Battle and his life after Penn

Recently on DT, I featured Rebecca Cook (C'11, Counterparts) a super talented new alum who did an awesome cover of an Adele song.

Turns out over the past 2 years, Rebecca has been involved in a friendly "pop song battle" with another super talented Penn (and Counterparts) classmate of hers.

After the jump, meet Johnny Lloyd (Mortar Board, Counterparts, iNtuitons '11) and check out his soulful cover of "Bills Bills Bills" by Destiny's Child.

Also, learn about how this recent grad is transitioning to life after Penn and keeping it in the arts with some other Penn friends of his.

Another Penn alum covers Adele (must-listen!)

It has become clear to me that Counterparts alumni love Adele:

A few weeks ago, we heard John Legend (C99, Counterparts) sing a great cover of an Adele song.

Now, I just stumbled upon a very talented recent alum's performance (also from Counterparts) of a cover of another Adele song.

After the jump watch her performance and listen to her unique voice!
