When "Gladiator" Meets Chanukkah (VIDEOS)

chanukkah hanukkah and upennTonight is the first night of Channukah, or Hanukkah if you prefer.

To celebrate, check out what the short film risk-y filmmaker Jason Merrin (C'13) created in honor of this first night.

After the jump, watch the real Gladiator action starting at minute 1:33! (...plus check out some other holiday viral video sensations!)

Happy Hannukkah/Chanukkah everyone!

Penn Girl Rides Bull (VIDEO)

UPenn bullriding

With a title like that, you know you want to know what's up.

Well, to close my Games and Movies Week, I thought I'd treat you to another fun game/activity caught on video: a Penn girl riding a mechanical bull in New Orleans.

What Happens When You Put the "Price is Right" Announcer and Lou Ferrigno In a Room? (GREAT VIDEO!)

Price is Right and UPenn
For my "Games and Movies" series I've got a GREAT video (edited by DT favorite Matt Johnson (C'99, Mask and Wig)) based on the ultimate game(show), "The Price is Right".

Specifically, based on the show's announcer.

In this video, "Price Is Right" announcer Rich Fields trains hard with coach Lou Ferrigno, aka "The Hulk", to become the greatest announcer of all time. As a result, he can't turn it off, and drives his wife crazy!

...Speaking of gameshows, remember my post on THIS Penn alum on "Jeopardy"?

It's the video game "Mario Kart Race" brought to life on Locust Walk! (see below!)

She's Going to Be (30) Rocking Alec Baldwin's World...

30 RockElizabeth Banks (C'96) is sure making her way around to all the popular TV shows this season.

Just a few weeks ago Liz appeared on ABC's "Modern Family" and now she's about to grace "30 Rock" with her presence in at least four episodes.

According to EW.com, she will be playing Jack Donaghy's (Alec Baldwin's) love interest. Her sense of humor can definitely fit well into that show!

Looks like Liz is on the road to getting her own series one day...
