We've Been Watching This Penn Alumna(!) Interview Michael Phelps

I've been covering all sorts of  "Penn in the Olympics" news all week at DT and now I've got some more!

Andrea Kremer (C'80), the reporter that interviewed all the Olympic swimmers, including Michael Phelps after each and every gold medal he won in Beijing, is a Penn alumna! She’s worked for ESPN before switching to NBC about a year or so ago. She primarily covers NFL football.

videosWatch Andrea interview Michael Phelps, Peter Vanderkaay, Ricky Berens and Ryan Lochte after taking gold in the 4x200m freestyle relay.

Thanks to Kiera Reilly (C'93, Alumni Relations) for the scoop!

  1. We all heard what our mothers told us....that if you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all. In which case, I wouldn't be saying anything at all about Andrea's interviews, which as an ex-swimmer and -sportswriter made me.... uncomfortable, for lack of a better word. Andrea might consider spending some free time watching the guy doing the track and field post-race interviews. He honors the sport and the participants with his know-how and preparedness.
