Writer/Director Jon Hurwitz's (W'00) just emailed me with news that his Harold & Kumar 2 Teaser Trailer is now online.
From IMDB: The sequel "follows the cross-country adventures of the pot-smoking duo as they try to outrun authorities who suspect them of being terrorists when they try to sneak a bong on board their flight to Amsterdam."
The film was was co-written and co-directed by Jon and stars future Penn professor Kal Penn. (Kal is teaching a class or two at Penn beginning in January.)

In another new way of connecting alumni, last week at the Los Angeles PennClubLA event at the Crescent Hotel in Beverly Hills I chatted a bit with Gabe Laskin (C'05, Mask and Wig). He told me he was looking for a job in sports facility management. I figured it would be easier if you just listened directly from Gabe. (if you are reading this post via an RSS feed, you'll have to click here to view the video on the site)
After we filmed this video, Gabe told me he wanted to add that he is interested in any venue sort of management (big venues, especially) -from sports venues to venues which feature live touring acts, i.e. concerts.
Any Los Angeles alumni out there who can speak with Gabe? Email Gabe at email@example.com.

Per comingsoon.net, "The comedy revolves around a man brought up in a frat house, raised by generations of house brothers. When he is reunited with his birth mother, he wreaks havoc on her chic home furnishings company with his rowdy, ill-behaved ways."

From Yahoo! Entertaiment:
"Tim Allen, John Travolta, Martin Lawrence and William H. Macy head out on the highway for a comedy hit following the adventures of four buddies aiming to ease their mid-life crises with a cross-country motorcycle trip. The four play suburbanites whose taste of the easy rider life sours when they find themselves in a blood feud with a real hardcore biker gang led by Ray Liotta. The DVD and Blu-ray releases include an alternate ending and deleted scenes, plus commentary with director Walt Becker and screenwriter Brad Copeland. There's also a making-of featurette and a handy advice segment titled "How to Get Your Wife to Let You Buy a Motorcycle."

Dr. Zach Lutsky (C'97) will be (NBC) ER's new onset medical consultant. Zach has accepted the position in a part-time capacity so he can keep doing nearly fulltime emergency room shifts at Cedars-Sinai. Per Zach, "I will have an office at Warner Brothers Studios and will be on the set about 8-10 days a month."
Zach has also worked as a medical consultant on Diagnosis X which is now on TLC on Wednesdays, 9 pm. Zach is also in an episode sometime in September so stay tuned!
